Yves takes the step to redefine her career and artistry as a soloist, embarking on her first solo tour 'Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour'. On January 30th, The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles filled with Yves fans lining up for their Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour merch, toting Yves photo cards and even many decked out with apple hats and accessories. After touring in Europe this past December, the tour took off in North America, starting in Montreal on January 16th and hitting nine cities including Los Angeles on January 30th before closing out in Tacoma on February 4th.

Divided into two acts, Yves took the first half of the show to showcase songs off her 2024 debut Ep Loop, latest Ep I Did and even several cover songs, giving ehngdu, fandom name, a versatile performance. First, appearing on stage with dance number “Loop” Yves had the crowd leaping to their feet, dancing along. The singer then took center stage, transitioning into slower songs “TikTok” and “Gone Girl”, both off 2024 EP I Did, while interacting with the crowd.

Taking us back to the angsty teen years of early 2000’s Yves brought out covers of “My Happy Ending” by Avril Lavigne and “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton before answering fan questions midway through the show. Yves both shocked and excited fans by saying she would love to try a concept similar to FKA Twigs, and she later talked about her time sightseeing and shopping throughout LA.

Instead of the traditional opener to kick off the night, 'Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour' did things a little different with a special performance by up and coming artist blah in the middle of the show. blah brought us his powerful vocals and somber sounds as he sang “Time Slip Movie” and “그래도 난 널 사랑하겠지 from his 2024 EP ONE, but not before amping the crowd back up with a cover of “As It Was” by Harry Styles.

The second half of the show focused more on Yves’ deluxe version of her latest EP, I Did: Bloom, with performances of “Hashtag", “See You in Hell” and “DIM”. Pop Ballads “Bird” and “See You in Hell” really shined as Yves’ soft yet powerful vocals filled the venue. After briefly leaving the stage Yves appeared one last time to perform encore track “Viola”, waving a light stick, jumping around the stage and receiving some fan gifts. As ehngdu shouted the lyrics back to her, Yves finished out the show with the high energy number.

Despite seeming timid in the beginning, Yves began to find more confidence and comfortability on stage leading up to her final number. Where she once, seemingly shy, stood center stage, the singer was bouncing around stage right to left by the end of the night. Yves shined on her own, giving fans a versatile and vocally powerful performance, demonstrating her ability to stand as a soloist.
