Seven member K-pop group AMPERS&ONE took over the Palace Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on May 30 while on their 2026 tour Born to Define

Kamden (캠든), Brian, Jiho (지호), Siyun (시윤), Kyrell, Mackiah and Seungmo (승모) make up the boisterous group of seven. After their successful first North American tour My First_, the group is back with 17 North American dates, following their May 2 opening stop in Seoul.

Formed with FNC Entertainment, AMPERS&ONE made their debut in late 2023 with their single album Ampersand One. Just the following year the members announced they were embarking on their first US tour. US fans were lucky to catch the group again when they opened for their sunbaemin’s (seniors) P1Harmony on P1ustage H: MOST WANTED tour last fall.

Back in Los Angeles, the members packed the Palace Theatre with ANDEAR (fandom), who gathered to share in their love for the group, with many who waited in line for tour merchandise and exclusive photo booth opportunities. Despite my excitement seeing the group’s headlining performance for the first time, if there is any venue I hate to see on a tour bill it’s the Palace Theater. Located within the desolate jewelry district, the venue is not equipped for accessibility and often unable to regulate temperature; it's filled with appliances that make you feel like you’re inside an apocalyptic sci-fi film, making it one of the least desirable venues to attend. However AMPERS&ONE turned the less than appealing venue into their own magical space, creating an engaging atmosphere full of excitement and high spirits.

Featuring larger spaces and growing crowds, their near sold out performances stand as a testament to their rising status and appeal. Their lively numbers and engaging personalities draw fans in, the group only continuing to rise in popularity.

Their captivating qualities don’t stop onstage, as the members continue to connect with fans through social media. With Mackiah teasing with his thirst traps, Brian sharing in his exciting pregnancy news, and members like Jiho and Kamden showing off their dance skills, AMPERS&ONE brings their alluring, energetic and humorous personalities straight to you.

Newer releases, “GOD” and “What You Talking About” from DEFINITION opened the night strong, the members diving into high energy numbers, showing off their dynamic choreography. Blending K-culture and modern wear, AMPERS&ONE performed wearing stylized Korean robes, later revealing a second look underneath. Still adjourned with traditional Korean accents, members shined wearing Hanbok styled belts, tassels and emblems.

As the night went on, they played both new songs and old favorites like “He + She = We” and “Whip It.” All seven members maintained the momentum, dancing and engaging with ANDEAR all night.

Before their encore, ANDEAR had their time to shine as they sang along to an instrumental version of “All Eyes On You,” the members even commenting how well they did with the Korean lyrics. Touched by their enthusiasm AMPERS&ONE excitedly stated how LA showed the most energy, bringing the loudest cheers on tour.

The members spent several songs running through the crowd, with members jumping off stage to join in the fun through the aisles to “I Know You” and “Crazy Stupid Fun.” The encore was an all out party, a high climax to the building night as each member took time to interact with their fans. The crowd started to leave their seats as the show ended, but surprising ANDEAR with a final song, 나대로 (My Way), the members emerged leaping back onstage as fans screamed through each moment while the group made their way again through the crowd to close out the night.

In just a few short years, AMPERS&ONE continues to be one of the most exciting groups to see grow not only in fandom but in their level of artistry, performance, stamina and stage presence. Even those who may not be familiar with the group, we recommend catching them if you get the chance - you are sure to leave the room calling yourself ANDEAR.
