Los Angeles' 1720 displays a rock-grunge aesthetic - with graffiti and sticker lined walls, dimly lit interior and located just south of downtown's Arts and Fashion districts. This stop marks the midway point of the joint tour and NANO and MADKID welcomed us into their space for the night.
NANO began her music career sharing English covers of Japanese songs online in 2010 and would later go on to make her debut in 2012 with her first album nanoir. Coming off last year's solo US tour 'NOTHING BUT NOISE US Tour 2024' NANO notes being able to play off each other's strengths and weaknesses touring alongside MADKID, working together as a team. No stranger to Los Angeles' 1720 NANO took to the stage performing latest 2024 singles "Do or Die", "Lost in Gray" and "Oblivion".
MADKID, formed in 2014, most recently released full length album DROPOUT in 2024 and feature tracks "Sin", "FLY" and "Chaser" within their setlist. While this is the first oversees tour for the members, YOU-TA shared the group would like to head to other countries as well, taking along their new experiences and things they've learned from their current tour.
The artists shared some moments and experiences on tour that have stood out to them, with NANO sharing how exciting it's been to travel by car, getting to sight see along the journey. SHIN excitedly answered "In N Out" as a memorable moment for him, as LIN suggests how great all the venues were.
With 11 stops on the tour, KAZUKI shares how he enjoys getting to express "KAZUKI's English", a moment where he talks to the crowd every show, providing a fun moment for the group on stage. Sharing in this experience together, YUKI describes how NANO has joined their pre show huddle, where they gather to join hands in the center and shout together before going onstage, cheering each other on and showcasing their teamwork. Whether on or offstage NANO and MADKID have been a team throughout the tour, sharing the road and the stage, the artists express their joy in working together and being able to bring their art and their passion to their fans.
