Los Angeles–based artist and songwriter JULITH reveals her new single, "Right From Left” a sharp, cathartic release that channels frustration into empowerment. Following singles “JAB!,” “Pure Spite,” and “Cut From the Sequel,” “Right From Left” marks the latest preview of JULITH’s debut EP This Is A Kindness arriving April 10.
On “Right From Left,” JULITH pairs biting social commentary with deeply personal reflection, confronting the constant noise of unsolicited opinions and societal pressure.
“It often feels like everyone has something to say about everything,” she explains. “People like to drop their unsolicited advice without having the context or expertise. This song calls out that dynamic and advocates for doing whatever feels right to ME regardless of the judgements of others.”
Formerly performing under her given name Julia Pratt, JULITH represents a creative rebirth born from the making of her debut EP. The mononym marks a turning point toward radical honesty, artistic autonomy, and fearless self-exploration. This Is A Kindness exists at the intersection of healing and accountability, rooted in the belief that it’s possible to improve, protect, and celebrate the dignity of all people. Across the EP’s seven tracks, JULITH channels her strength, healing, and feminine rage into a body of work that is genre-defiant and undeniably captivating.
JULITH’s artistry is deeply informed by her lived experience. She moved frequently throughout her childhood and was confronted at a young age by the realities of addiction, recovery, and the complexities of personal healing. She began processing those challenges through poetry, which eventually evolved into writing songs. That instinct to document, reflect, and examine the world around her remains at the core of her songwriting today.
Beyond music, JULITH is a survivor and active victim advocate who volunteers with nonprofit organizations supporting individuals navigating sexual assault and domestic violence reporting. She is also deeply engaged in mental health and substance abuse advocacy, work that closely parallels the themes explored throughout her music.
JULITH is an artist unafraid to step outside the proverbial box. Her music is immersive and intentional, pairing insightful songwriting with bold, effortless sonic experimentation. With each release, she pushes into new musical territory while challenging the personal and perceived boundaries that shape both her artistry and identity.
