Bringing his highly anticipated ‘Requiem’ tour on the road, singer-songwriter keshi hit up Los Angeles' iconic Kia Forum. No stranger to the Forum, keshi opened up for LANY on his 2021 tour and now revisits the venue as a headliner. keshi’s latest album Requiem explores relationships and loss, the singer weaving through different emotions, introspection and perspective on life while shifting out of his previous sounds of R&B from debut album GABRIEL. Performing tracks off both Requiem and GABRIEL, keshi takes us along on his journey as he navigates life, pulling us in with his hypnotizing sound.

As the lights faded and fans screamed in excitement, everyone quickly realized that they were simply sitting in the dark. No music, no announcement, just several minutes of silence in the pitch black arena in what we can only imagine was a technical hiccup. Soon sound started to trickle from the systems, and out stepped pop and R&B artist starfall, keshi’s tour opener. starfall brought along tracks “weeknight,” “come home,” and “stuck like this” from his newest digital single come home, amping up the crowd.

Coming out backlit, his silhouette surrounded in smoke, keshi stepped on stage to deliver a passionate opening performance of fan favorite “say,” the crowd singing along to every word. Dressed in a white hoodie, unzipped to tease a glimpse at his many tattoos, black denim pants and large black boots adorned with large bike style chains, keshi exuded a calm confidence that paired perfectly with his soothing yet impactful sound.

With high hopes, the singer exclaimed “I already know this is going to be my favorite show on the entire fucking tour,” as he shared his excitement being back at The Kia Forum. keshi’s honey vocals flowed through songs like “the reaper,” “Dream” and “forever.” Guitar in hand, our favorite oncology nurse turned musician delivered his newest single “WANTCHU,” his dream-like sound echoing through the arena as he masterfully played the guitar. His most personal track “Just To Die,” grabs your attention and fans took in the singer’s emotional performance - some enjoying the song in silence, while others sang out passionately.

After taking us on an emotional journey and fans chanting for “one more song,” keshi ends the night with encore track “Id.” Walking edge to edge across the stage, the singer brings the evocative night to a close. Although the name requiem reflects a song played in remembrance of the dead, keshi shares his hopes for the future “All I want to do is make songs for you for the rest of my life.
