You can always tell when there is a K-pop concert at MGM National Harbor, a large casino complex at the historic National Harbor in Forest Heights, Maryland; just a few miles outside of Washington D.C. The energy on the entire property shifts - excited chatter and laughter from fans dressed in themed outfits with lightsticks dangling from arms and bags. Casino-goers who normally visit for the loud slot machines and flowing drinks are left confused at the long lines, friendship bracelets, and glittery makeup.

NMIXX played to a sold out crowd on April 2, 2026 at The Theater at MGM National Harbor and hundreds of fans waited in long winding lines through the halls of the casino shopping and dining areas. Many fans were dressed in blue and white outfits, with flowers in their hair, and holding pickets featuring photos of their biases. The venue staff was able to make quick work of the security line, many fans knowledgeable of the bag policy and carrying minimal items with them in an effort to get to the merch line as quickly as possible.

Before the show began, the large screens on stage played videos of the different artists under NMIXX’s parent company, JYP Entertainment. Fans screamed for some of their favorite groups that appeared, like Stray Kids and Twice, but the loudest screams were for NMIXX. Fans were abuzz at the prospect of seeing the six member group perform on their first world tour, US fans having previously seen them perform at KCON LA in 2024 and 2025. DC area fans packed The Warner Theater in 2023 to see the group perform for their showcase tour, Nice to Mixx You, as one of the eight stops in the US.

During one of the videos playing before the show started, a fan screamed out to compliment the members’ trendy style, which featured crop tops and skirts: “Body! Body tea!” Friends held onto each other as the lights dimmed, making last minute predictions about the set list or what hair style their bias would have that day.

The stage lighting turned blue and fans’ MIXXTICKs changed colors to match before NMIXX appeared on stage, accompanied by dramatic sounds that sounded like the opening of a sci-fi film, lights flashing on and off to reveal them in different formations. “O.O” began playing and the members kicked off the show with fast paced choreography, live vocals singing lyrics like “Cause everything is fake, but I ain’t a fake” and “Watch out, baila, baila, baila.” The members wore matching black corset tops, sparkly and each customized for the individual member and coordinated perfectly with skirts or shorts.

Fans sang loudly with the members during “Run for Roses” stopping to cheer when Lily sang her iconic adlibs. Jiwoo burst through the center of the group at one point in the song to rap her lines, a bejewelled eye patch covering one of her eyes. While she mentioned she was wearing it for medical reasons, many fans felt it suited the adventure theme of the tour well, dubbing her “Pirate Jiwoo” and even writing a parody of the intro to popular anime One Piece on Reddit.

The members returned to the stage for “PAXXWORD” in sailor-inspired dresses over their previous outfits, floating around the stage singing and looking like real-life versions of the Sailor Guardians. The cheers before the lights came up for “Young, Dumb, Stupid” were some of the loudest of the night as the members took spots at the front of the stage, perfectly lined up for fancams to be filmed by the fans seated in the first few rows. During this set of songs, the members interacted with one another, dancing and singing each others’ lines into the microphones at moments.

“Are you guys in the front row in matching outfits? That’s so cute, you guys are like little angels!” Lily exclaimed from the stage during one of the ments, hyping up more outfits from the crowd, holding her hand at her brows to be able to see over the bright stage lights. The members called out other outfits and signs in the crowd, creating a memorable experience for the fans who had spent months preparing for this concert.

Love Me Like This” was one of the most high energy songs of the night, with the heavy rock sound of the live band accompanying the members’ performance and the fans cheering loudly. Live bands always give such an added depth to K-pop performances and give the members an opportunity to showcase their vocal and rap skills alongside the musicians.

Blue Valentine” was met with loud cheers from the crowd as many fans had dressed in outfits from this song’s concept for the special night. As the title track from their latest release from October 2025, this was a special moment between Nswer and NMIXX, the entire venue turning blue again, floating blue confetti illuminated by sparkling lightsticks.

With a catalog of bangers, NMIXX proved they not only have what it takes to be successful on the charts but also as live performers. Each stage was filled with complex choreography, interactions with the crowd, and stable live vocals. A true highlight of the night was hearing the fans scream “NMIXX” during the songs that have their name included as a call and response ad-lib.

The North America leg of the NMIXX tour wrapped up on April 9, 2026 in Los Angeles, CA and will continue in Asia in June, with stops in Thailand and Singapore. Fans eagerly await their fifth mini album, Heavy Serenade, which will be released on May 11. A teaser trailer video was released on April 21 for the upcoming release, giving fans a taste of the album concept and theme.
