Legendary K-Pop Idol ONEW (ì˜¨ìœ ) recently completed his solo world tour ONEW THE LIVE: PERCENT (%). Rounding out the final leg of the tour, ONEW hit the New York stage at Kings Theatre, bringing Shawol (a shortened version of fandom name SHINee World), a night to remember.
Debuting in 2008 with the iconic K-Pop group SHINee, ONEW is no stranger to the game. His fans, spanning two decades, continue to be collected like Pokemon, some having been with the idol since debut and others only joining within the last several years. ONEW joined Griffin Entertainment in 2024 and has since released several EPs and Singles along with his latest full length album PERCENT.

Just under a year since his last tour, ONEW THE LIVE: CONNECTION, ONEW is back with new tracks and new performances along with the same talent and charms he is most loved for. Stepping out in a suit and skinny tie, standing center stage with only a microphone - no gimmicks, no theatrics - ONEW made sure you couldn't take your eyes off him. He led the night with "PERCENT (%)," "No Parachute" and "Yeowoobi," the crowd's diamond shaped lightsticks waving high in the air.
Opposite of SHINee's often dance heavy and upbeat numbers, ONEW took his solo performances to highlight why he is one of the main vocalists. His clean and crisp vocals piercing through the crowd, he shined with tracks "MAD," an acoustic version of "Winner," and the idol effortlessly hit every high note in "Silky." When he did add his iconic dance moves fans went wild, "Beat Drum" energizing the crowd as they danced along. "Animals" closed out the set, its upbeat rhythm leading ONEW to jump around the stage uninhibited, bringing the performance to a roaring high point.

Throughout the night ONEW took time to connect with the crowd, he asked the NY audience if any of them have good news to share since seeing him last year on his ONEW THE LIVE: CONNECTION tour - one fan shared it was their birthday, only to then be serenaded with the traditional Happy Birthday song. After a fan responded "Always" after being asked which song of his they liked, ONEW went on to deliver an a cappella version of the track. But not before forgetting the lyrics and borrowing a phone from the crowd to read from, leaving everyone playfully laughing along with the idol.
Giving fans a chance to be up close with the singer, ONEW made his way through the audience during his encore track "Yay" before hopping back on stage jumping high with the crowd. Throwing signed balls into the audience, rivaling that of a pro baseball player, ONEW continued to playfully interact with Shawol. Closing the night with "Happy Birthday," everyone's hands waving back and forth through the number, the night ended on a bittersweet note as fans cheered and waved goodbye to the artist.

ONEW's stripped back performance and engaging interactions with his fans only emphasized his true talents as an idol. His vocal range impressive, singing each note effortlessly while his charisma and charm left the audience beaming with joy. Giving 110% ONEW leaves an impact throughout the fandom all across the world.
