Villains lined the streets of Hollywood on August 14th, circling around The Hollywood Palladium and down several blocks. Not your average villain, they were here to cheer on their heroes, South Korean rock band Xdinary Heroes. Currently on their 'Beautiful Mind World Tour' the six member band started in Seoul and has seen stages across Asia and North America before landing in the city of angels.

The group’s fanbase, known as Villians, excitedly welcomed the band back to LA after their successful sold out two night showcase 'Troubleshooting' in 2024. Many fans held their lightsticks while others decorated their outfits, one fan even wearing a headpiece made from a stuffed lobster - an ode to “George the Lobster.”

Six members, Gunil (건일), drums, Jungsu (정수), keyboard, Gaon (가온), guitar, O.de (오드), synthesizers, Jun Han (준한), guitar and Jooyeon (주연), bass, give the group their distinct rock sound and musical identity.

Opening with “Beautiful Mind” and “XYMPHONY," the members waste no time showing us exactly what kind of performers they are, their energy pulsing through the crowd. Rock anthems “Bad Chemical” and “Fight Me” stand out with their powerful sounds, Jungsu’s smooth vocals cutting seamlessly through the action packed rhythms from the band. Gunil hits us with a pulsating drum solo, inciting the crowd to chant along in participation before transitioning into “SUCKER PUNCH!

Tracks from their latest EP release Beautiful Mind lined the setlist including "more than i like," "Diamond," and "George the Lobster." On set for the first time in the US were "Bad Chemical" and "night before end," giving Villains a chance to see the songs live.

Fans turned on their flashlights and shouted "my universe" in unison during somber rock “PLUTO.” The stage LED screens flashed through galaxies and the disco ball reflected through the crowd, turning the venue into it's own night sky. With a packed encore stage Xdinary Heroes' energy only continued to flood through the venue. Closing out with Strawberry Cake, Money on My Mind, and “iNSTEAD!” the band left the stage just as powerful as they arrived.
