As the sun sets in the L.A. sky, BIBI (비비) makes her arrival onto the stage during her first world tour: 'EVE'. Stepping into the iconic YouTube Theatre, BIBI enters to a roaring crowd of fans. Her first world tour started with a flash and a cityscape to bring the audience into her world.

BIBI debuted to the world in 2019 with her first single “BINU.” After winning second place in the TV show The Fan, she entered the music scene and has not stopped creating since. Not only is she a gifted music artist, but BIBI has tremendous acting talent. In both her music videos and South Korean dramas, BIBI has truly proven herself as an expressive performer in any genre. Her music also has no bounds. From funky city pop to sultry RnB, her voice can form to any concept.
The opening number of the night was “Midnight Cruise,” a city pop ballad to get the audience’s energy up and excited for the rest of the night. BIBI continued on with “Hangang Gongwon,” furthering the city atmosphere with incredible visuals on the screens. She took a break to express this, “L.A. is one of my favorite places in the U.S. This is so amazing to be here.” Her audience roared with encouragement and praise. These fans have been waiting a long time for BIBI to make her way to Los Angeles’ stage, and they were not disappointed.

Throughout the night, BIBI continued to perform both cute and sexy concepts. In between songs, BIBI played a visual story on the LED screens. The videos told a story of two artists: one from the past and her clone in the present. The story progressed to show the past artist, known as EVE, as a happy and fun woman with no troubles. And her clone in the present, known as EVE-1, is an unhappy and tortured soul. The story’s conclusion was surprising and kept the audience engaged in between performances. The whole theatre was fully immersed in BIBI’s world, and her acting was on full display for the fans to see.

BIBI’s performances could be categorized into three different personalities: her cute side, her thirst for vengeance, and the hip hop side. For her cute side, she performed “Scott and Zelda,” “Bam Yang Gang,” and “Apocalypse.” These three songs held lyrical storytelling and a performance to match. BIBI’s outfits were light and airy, taking on her fun and flirty side. Her vengeance-themed songs, “Burn It,” “BIBI Vengeance,” and “Meat,” were the crowd favorites. And the third category of songs were “Hongdae RnB,” “City Love,” and “The Weekend.” These are more “vibey” and fun songs to dance to. BIBI performed all three concepts with ease and grace. Her dance crew, BBTrippin, also helped build the stories around the songs, allowing BIBI to shine as bright as possible.

What set this tour apart from other K-Pop tours was the fan interaction. BIBI took a dedicated amount of time to acknowledge her fans. Before performing “Fedexx girl,” she ran around the theatre and asked all her fans what they did for work. She specifically asked for “interesting jobs” and received quite a few, including a drag queen, a pharmacist, and a horse trainer to name a few. Another fan interaction that happened during the show was performing “Best Lover” to one fan on stage. BIBI selected a young man as she ran around and brought him onto the stage to perform the song for him.

BIBI ended the night with “PADO,” “Bumpa,” and “Eat My Love.” All the songs were fun and lively, letting the fans end the night with a good feeling in their bones. She ran around the stage once again and said goodbye to each section of the theatre, making sure not to miss a single soul.
From her dark concepts to the cute playful energy, BIBI can do it all. The whole night felt like a movie brought to the stage. BIBI showcased her ability to flip from concept to concept and keep her fans engaged the whole night. Her grace and elegance in her vocals were truly impressive and she promised her fans that she would return again soon. BIBI will always have a place in Los Angeles, regardless of the style she chooses to pursue next.
