CNBLUE Rock the Los Angeles Stage with 'Voyage Into X'

K-Pop/Rock band CNBLUE shook the Los Angeles stage on April 24th at The Novo Theatre. Having recently finished their ‘Voyage Into X’ North American Tour, CNBLUE visited Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. ‘Voyage Into X’ marks 10 years since the band’s last North American performance, bringing along many excited Boice, fandom, who filled the theatre. Some fans even lined up outside as early as 8AM for their chance to get up close with the trio.

CNBLUE delivered a performance of passionate and engaging energy, creating surges of electricity through the amped crowd. The trio, comprised of Younghwa (용화) on guitar, Minhyuk (민혁) on drums and Jungshin (정신) on bass, promised to show every side of CNBLUE, showcasing a setlist that brought the group’s “past, present and future” to long awaited fans.
With a burst of confetti that filled the theatre, and captivating instrumentals, the night opened with earlier hits “In My Head,” “Where Are You,” and “I’m Sorry,” starting the night with amplified nostalgia and an explosive rock energy. Fans shouted along “미쳤어 (I’m crazy),” as Younghwa instructed them to jump, the floor rattling beneath us as the crowd leapt in unison.

CNBLUE’s latest album, X, also marks the group's tenth release. Speaking on the album, Younghwa mentioned, “We aim to capture the boundless energy that defines us, energy with no limits.” Can’t slow them down, the group performed “Racer” and “BAD BAD” from the newest album, their limitless stamina and stage presence continuing to hype up the crowd.
“Cinderella,” a fan favorite, called back to their 2015 album 2gether, and delivered a drum solo that had fans chanting “Go Minhyuk, Go Minhyuk!” “Coffee Shop” highlighted the trio’s rock power, the group’s live instrumentals throughout intensifying the number. Boice continued to sing and jump along to the numbers, lightsticks held high in the air creating a sea of blue lights through the venue.

Aptly titled, ‘Voyage Into X,’ their performance was a showcase of the group’s growth and journey that led up to their latest release. Showcasing both old and new songs, fans were able to share in CNBLUE's journey together. Delivering a heavily anticipated performance, worthy of the ten year wait, CNBLUE literally rocked the Los Angeles stage, strengthening the bond with Boice and create a night to remember.
