| Gemini returns with a full-length album centered on love, loss, and longing.

Sad boy summer has officially begun thanks to Gemini and his first full-length album, Knight, which was released on June 18, 2026. Gemini is known for his presence in the K-R’n’B world, but what makes him special, in my opinion, is his distinct sound and focus on lyricism.
The album opens with “Way Up,” a slow song whose sound evokes a sense of floating as Gemini describes himself as being “way up.” Throughout the song, he reassures someone that he is “coming right back.” Could this person be a friend, a romantic partner, or a family member? In the second song, “Dress Up,” Gemini alludes to needing “a babe.” From here on out, it is clear this album is centered around a storyline between Gemini and another person.

Once we get to “Hater,” there is an apparent shift from a positive vibe to a more negative one as Gemini describes his romantic interest as his “hater” and parts ways with them. In “On and Off,” Gemini turns to drinking and casual hookups as his way of dealing with the heartbreak of losing his partner. Though he is attempting to cope with the breakup, he keeps thinking back to the memories with his ex in “I Go.”
“(AA) Alone Again” has a lonely and depressing feel as Gemini sings about wondering what he is living for. This transitions into “Love is Forever,” in which Gemini reminisces on the love he had and believed would last forever. Though the phrase “your love is forever” is repeated over and over again, the song has a somber and longing sound that makes that phrase feel untrue.
“Interlude,” a jazzy instrumental song, then transitions us into the last two songs on the album. “No Sugar in My Coffee,” my personal favorite song on the album, focuses on the bitterness of losing someone you love. The sweetness that this person brought has disappeared from Gemini's life. In “Call My Name,” Gemini ends the album with a song that is heavy on the guitar, and in this song, he leaves a message to his ex. He is certain that they will not be satisfied with their new lover and will come back to call his name again.
Gemini's first full album is filled with longing, loneliness, but love is at the center of it all. I am curious to see what his next album will be like after this one. Will the vibe be more upbeat? Will he find someone new? Will he go back to his ex? We will just have to find out in his future music, and I am looking forward to it!
