| The rising popstar debuts first single of 2026, launching a huge year ahead.

Singer-songwriter Mikayla Geier has released “HOTLINE,” a mischievous and campy break-up-with-your-boyfriend anthem that’s only the beginning of a big year to come. “HOTLINE” is available everywhere now.
Featuring pop and funk elements along with a somewhat stripped feel, “HOTLINE” illustrates Mikayla’s alt-cool girl status. The track hears her sweet-sounding voice deliver cheeky lines like “I’ll play fetch, throw me a bone” and “call 1-800 GOTTA GO,” an alluring duality present throughout her entire catalog.
To date, the musical maven has released two EPs, here we go again… and HOT POT!, amassing a total of over 40M global streams and 145M YouTube views in just two years. With undeniable confidence as seen on her social media and a knack for lyrical poetry, she’s built a dedicated fan base of over 2M across platforms.
“I want everyone who listens to my music to feel seen and have fun!,” Mikayla says. “I’m thrilled to share ‘HOTLINE’ with the world and hope it makes you feel HOT.”
Having been named one of Spotify’s 2026 Artists to Watch, Mikayla is poised to make waves in music. Just yesterday, she was announced as part of Gold House, Spotify, and Live Nation's Gold Music Accelerator Class of 2026, and this summer she’ll be heading abroad to open for MARINA’s UK tour. A lifelong ballerina, Mikayla’s performances are filled with high-energy dances, something she also incorporates into her music videos and short films which accompany each of her single releases. She literally creates new worlds through her music that is both intentional and cinematic.
Stay tuned for more exciting releases from Mikayla Geier in 2026.
About Mikayla Geier
Through her genre-defying “Orchestral Pop Music,” singer-songwriter Mikayla Geier has built a dedicated fanbase of 2M+ followers, with 145M+ YouTube views and 40M global streams. Born in Vancouver to a tapestry of Chinese and German heritage, Mikayla was raised a ballerina who also practiced violin and piano, skills which she’s encapsulated into her artistry for a sound that fuses classical, pop, rock, and opera elements. She made her debut in 2024 with the here we go again… EP, marked by poetic tracks like "i don't feel safe in my body" and "haven't been the same since." Mikayla creates art designed to transport, where high fashion meets technicolor sound. Her 2025 EP HOT POT! soared to new heights beginning with the single “piano in the sky” (which saw over 100k streams in its first few days) and its accompanying music video. Mikayla then headlined her own, largely sold-out “Diva Tour” last fall, named for the EP’s second single. There’s a theatrical grandeur to her music, emphasized by the cinematic storytelling that accompanies her songs, as each release is complimented by a short film which she directs and stars in. 2026 is proving to be her biggest year yet, beginning with her joining Spotify’s Artists To Watch Class of 2026 and she will return to live stages this summer, opening for MARINA across the UK.
