NCT’s TAEYONG (SM Entertainment) is set to release his debut full-length album, WYLD, on May 18 at 6 pm KST, marking a defining moment in his solo career.
A deeply personal and sonically dynamic project, WYLD sees TAEYONG take a leading role across the entire creative process. He penned lyrics on all 10 tracks and contributed to the composition of nine, while also shaping the album’s overall production. The result is a cohesive body of work that captures his evolving artistry, balancing raw intensity with emotional depth, while offering an unfiltered look into his inner world.
With WYLD, TAEYONG channels a more refined yet fearless creative identity, delivering what can be described as an explosive expression of his artistic voice. The album not only highlights his versatility across genres but also solidifies his position as a true all-around musician.
Since his solo debut with SHALALA, followed by his second mini album TAP and most recently the single “Rock Solid (Feat. Anderson .Paak)” released on April 17, TAEYONG has consistently built a distinct musical identity. Each release has showcased his willingness to experiment and push boundaries, setting the stage for his first full-length album.
In the lead-up to the release, TAEYONG has officially kicked off the countdown with the album rollout schedule revealed on April 28 at 12 AM KST across NCT’s official social media channels. Beginning May 4, fans can expect a rollout of teaser images and mood sampler videos introducing a new visual and sonic direction. The campaign will continue with a highlight medley on May 13, followed by a music video teaser for the title track “WYLD” on May 17.
With WYLD, TAEYONG continues to take the lead in shaping his own sound, further defining his identity as a solo artist as NCT enters its 10th anniversary year.
