FNC’s newest rookie group AMPERS&ONE brought their first ever tour “My First_” to North America! The septet, made up of Mackiah (마카야), Kamden (캠든), Kyrell (카이렐), Seungmo (승모), Siyun (시윤), Jiho (지호), and Brian (브라이언) debuted in 2023 with their first single album AMPERSAND ONE, featuring their debut song “On And On.” The groups seven members hail from all over the world, with members from Korea, America, Canada and Australia. Prior to debut, the group garnered attention because of three of the members previously competing in the infamous competition show, Boys Planet, famous for its strong trainees and forming fellow KPop group ZEROBASEONE.

The “My First_” Tour took off in Miami just months after the release of their first mini-album ONE QUESTION. On March 5th, the Chicago show took place at the Logan Square Auditorium just halfway through the tours US leg. For VIPs, the experience started in the late afternoon, with ANDEAR having the opportunity to attend soundcheck, take a group photo, and even take selfies with each individual member of AMPERS&ONE!
The setlist for “My First_” opened with the boys debut song “On And On,” an energetic track about letting loose and partying together, filled with energetic choreography and immediately setting the bar for the groups vocals. The first stage was filled with performances from the groups three releases, including their debut, ONE QUESTION and ONE HEARTED.
As a treat to ANDEAR, the members prepared covers of some of the most beloved and popular boy group songs from the last few years. Including “God’s Menu” by Stray Kids and “Blood Sweat & Tears” by BTS - as well as unit stages featuring “Plot Twist” by TWS, “Good Boy Gone Bad” by TXT. Throughout these covers, the group was able to show off just how impressive their skills are, adapting to the styles of numerous different aesthetics and attempting some of the hardest raps in K-Pop.

The second stage provided ANDEAR all of the fan favorite songs the audience had been waiting for, including “Broken Heart,” a more noisy song to contrast their typical “boy-next-door” sound. In addition to ending with “Fly,” a ballad highlighting the groups vocals and empowering ANDEAR that they’ll be able to follow their dreams and support each other together.
The evening ended with an encore with performances exclusive to the US tour stops, including an English version of their most recent title track “He + She + We,” and “Slide!” The set officially closed out with “Crazy Stupid Fun,” an EDM party track about letting loose and having fun.

AMPERS&ONE have impressed K-Pop fans since their debut and there’s no sign of them slowing down. The group has been able to showcase their versatility - with tracks ranging from funk, to ballad, to electronic - all while charming audiences with their hilarious and endearing personalities. If you missed AMPERS&ONE in Chicago, you still have numerous chances to see them in Minneapolis, Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City, San Antonio, and Phoenix before they close out the “My First_” Tour in Los Angeles!
