WENDY Brings Renewed and Bright Energy to Texas with First Solo Tour 'W:EALIVE'

WENDY made her solo debut in Sugarland, Texas at the Smart financial Center as a part of her [W:EALIVE] U.S. Tour. Her tour is aptly named [W:EALIVE] translating the phrase “We Alive,” which she uses to mean a new path for her career as well bringing in a renewed and bright energy. This tour marks a powerful new beginning for WENDY in her career. Taking on the stage and massive venues solo is no small feat, but WENDY took it in stride.
Before the doors of the venue even opened, fans gathered outside the venue sharing in friendship and discussing which songs from the setlist they were most looking forward to hearing. As fans filed in, light sticks flickered on and the anticipation in the air grew more and more. As the first notes of her live band began, out came WENDY. She stunned in a flowing red gown and shimmery mic, though all fans were focused on the first song “Fireproof.” WENDY’s voice beautifully resonated throughout the venue. I don’t think I have heard an artist's vocals quite as clearly as I heard WENDY’s that night.
WENDY brings a warm and inviting aura to her performances, taking her time to dance across the stage, waving at fans and making sure everyone feels included. During the talking segment, WENDY was intentional about building a bond with her fans, maybe even more as this was her first time getting to meet fans 1 on 1. She asked where she should be sure sure to visit while she was in Texas. Of course Whataburger was an honorable mention, but Buc-ee's was the main spot shouted across the venue. At first she was confused, thinking it was just a normal gas station. But for Texans, it’s a known fact Buc-ees isn't a normal gas station, and when she was clued in she immediately got the hype and informed staff they needed to visit. She was even so excited staff had to move her away from the topic so the show could move along. It was exciting to see WENDY’s relationship with her fans be so casual.
During this solo tour, WENDY proved she is a powerhouse of a vocalist. Shifting between soft ballads and bouncy pop tracks, she never falters. As the night came to a close, Wendy promised she would return to Texas to visit her dedicated fans. Please be sure to continue to support WENDY on this new beginning!
