This Women's History Month, Twits (Hwasa’s fandom) were blessed with the talented and beautiful Hwasa, lighting up the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles during her sold-out tour stop for the North American leg of her live tour, 'Twits.'

The Korean singer came in hot, as she began the show with songs “Hwasa” and “Chili.”

She also performed fun covers of empowering tracks by artists like Beyoncé, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez—whom she said she admired and respected while growing up. During her performance of Britney Spears' “Toxic,” two of her dancers held up a long piece of white fabric, and the stage lighting illuminated it from behind. Hwasa and another dancer stood behind the cloth, their silhouettes highlighted by the orange and yellow lighting. As her dancer moved around her, spinning and tilting her backward into a dip, the energy on stage was electric. When the cloth dropped, she danced sensually on the floor, flipping her hair as she rose, captivating everyone's attention. The background visualizer of flames perfectly matched the fiery atmosphere as Hwasa burned it up on stage. Afterward, when she took a break to speak, the crowd erupted into chants of “HWASA, HWASA, HWASA.”

Later performing more covers, she came out with her dance crew, Hwasa truly embodied a diva attitude, delivering fierce choreography for Beyoncé’s “Diva.” Earlier in the concert, she had said, “I love sexy.” And that’s exactly what she gave! She then covered artists like Tyla and SZA, including a sultry performance of SZA's “Snooze.” She was surrounded by her male dancers, being the main focus and soon left alone in the center, dancing under pink stage lights that flashed and moved around her. Her glittering leotard sparkled as the lights shone on her. As the performance came to a close, the lights dimmed, leaving only her silhouette as she body-rolled and spun freely, flipping her hair, leaving nothing but a joyful and beautiful moment.

Hwasa’s personality is both funny and relatable, as she openly shares her struggles. Reflecting on life, she said there are a lot of obstacles, laughing and emphasizing meeting bad people along the way. She acknowledged the loneliness many feel on their paths. With her next songs, she wanted to show how she walks her own path, telling the audience, “Let’s walk it together.”

Building on that vulnerability, she continued to share more about her personal battles: “I think every day, every moment, I have times when I just crumble and fall,” she said. I have a lot of moments when I just break down, and have a lot of regrets, and I'm very hard on myself. Something like this I'm never embarrassed about it…“I think that these moments of regrets, loneliness, and breaking down are so important to me. Because in those moments is when we have those realizations. So when you have those moments too, don’t let them go to waste and really really feel them. Don’t just hold it in, but really cry out and just let the tears fall. I was able to write the songs that are like this to me because of those moments. And I want to show you from now on how I walk this path.” She then performed “Road.”

A song that made her embrace her darkness and re-enter the world, “LMM” helped her find something new and regain hope. The song speaks of the ongoing struggle to escape one's emotional or mental state, but ultimately, it carries a message of hope as the end of the song finishes with the lyrics: 떨어지는 비에도 꽃은 피어나니까 meaning “Even in the pouring rain, flowers bloom.” With her beautiful vocals accompanied by the strumming of violins in the background, it was an emotionally charged performance.

During outfit changes, funny vlog-like videos played, showing Hwasa trying out diva-inspired makeup looks she found online. Another video showed her on an off day in LA, attempting to find a club with her friends for a girls' night out. She shared on stage that she hadn’t been to a club overseas yet, so she and her friends got dressed up to hit the city. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get into the club, so they ended up at the Korean food chain, BBQ Chicken instead. The crowd laughed as the video clip switched to show them at the food chain in LA. Hwasa and her friends looked stylish and sexy while they enjoyed soju and chicken wings. She was able to have a good time, getting a little tipsy, showing her bubbly personality. The interpreter translated that Hwasa said, “We were thinking ‘oh maybe I can go try to go to a club in LA’ but failed.” She then said out loud in English: “Fail! BIG fail!” Her relatable humor had the audience laughing along with her.

That night, Hwasa mentioned it would be the final song several times, and even when it seemed like the end, there was still some doubt about whether it truly was.

She surprised fans by opening the venue seating doors to walk down the center aisle singing “Always Remember Us This Way” from A Star is Born. It was a sweet, heartfelt moment for both Hwasa and her fans as she shook hands, gave hugs, and acknowledged them. It was a moment they’d surely always remember. Earlier, she had shared, “So even if I return back to perform in LA, the same people in this place wouldn’t be here all the time. This space, everyone here, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment. So even if I can't wake up tomorrow, I'm going to give it my all tonight.” As people grow older, everyone will be at different stages in their lives as the future approaches. It’s not that her fans will leave, but rather a reminder to cherish the moment and keep it as a lasting memory, just in case tomorrow is not guaranteed. Lightening the mood, she asked the crowd, “So y'all are going to go crazy tonight too, right?” gaining cheers from the crowd.

After this the fans no longer sat down. It was time to dance in the moment with Hwasa’s last songs of the night. Hwasa felt the energy from her fans as she said she didn’t need to go to a club anymore and went on to say, “This is my first club.” Mamamoo’s official lightstick, ‘Moobong’ was seen brightly waving throughout the venue. Being a part of the K-pop group MAMAMOO, she made sure to add in songs to the setlist, including “Décalcomonie,” “Egotistic,” ”Dingga,” and ”HIP,” which fans were very excited about.

One thing she noticed on tour was how much the audience barked—truly a culture shock for artists visiting the United States who have never experienced it before. “I don’t know if I’m performing with my Twits or with puppies.” She then said, pointing to the crowd, “So cute,” while smiling from ear to ear and laughing.

Her concert was a perfect blend of reflecting on raw experiences in life and Hwasa’s fierce, talented, sexy, and light-hearted side. She ended with an energetic mix of feel-good hits like “HIP,” “NA,” and “I Love My Body” bringing the night to a climax. Just when the curtain seemed to close, she reappeared from behind the red drapes, a circular spotlight following her as she performed Billie Eilish’s "Lunch." The performance started with a sexy vibe, complete with hair whipping and flashing lights, slowly building up to an explosive chorus that capped off the unforgettable night.
